Dr. Debra Nicholson

Dr. Debra Nicholson is the proud owner of five independent veterinary practices: Bothell Pet Hospital, Elliott Bay Animal Hospital, Lynnwood Animal Hospital, Rainier Veterinary Hospital, and, as of May 2026, Firgrove Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Nicholson works as a relief veterinarian for the hospitals and is the leader of the parent organization, Veterinary Roots.

Volunteer Work

Dr. Nicholson is the founder of the Rainier Animal Fund, which works to help ensure access to veterinary care for pet owners who cannot afford the full cost of treatment.

Home Life

In her free time, Dr. Nicholson enjoys hiking, running, snowboarding, touring the area in search of unique breweries with amazing IPAs, and biking with her family and her three dogs: Tater, an American Bulldog, and the ever-rowdy Bernedoodles, Yeti and Marley.
