Malinda

As our longest-running, most loyal, and dedicated team member, Malinda has been part of the Firgrove Veterinary Clinic family since June 1982. For more than four decades, she has brought her steady presence, strong work ethic, and big heart to our clinic. 

Malinda knew she wanted to work with animals ever since high school. She began working in veterinary medicine first in college while earning her degree in Zoology, and has since turned that early dream into a lifelong career. 

Over the years, she has worn many hats at Firgrove, from kennel work to assisting, then reception, and later assistant manager. Each role gave her new ways to support patients and the people who love them. Even after years of mastering these roles, she still finds that no two days are ever the same.

Malinda’s approach centers on the belief that teamwork makes every day better and more productive. "There has always been a high standard in this clinic," she shared. "The first priority is the welfare of all animals and how we can help them. We are advocates for them and their owners." Thorough and understanding, Malinda is committed to finding solutions that benefit both patients and pet owners. 

As Malinda nears the end of her career, her legacy shines in the high standard of care she has helped build and maintain at Firgrove. She is a true advocate for every animal who enters through our doors and has helped care for generations of pets and their families. We are so grateful for the continued support she gives both our team and our community.

Volunteer Work

Malinda’s passion for helping animals extends beyond Firgrove’s patients and her own pets’ care. She has also volunteered her time and expertise at Woodland Park Zoo. 

Home Life

When she’s not at work, Malinda enjoys playing cards, camping, and spending time with her family and three beloved pets: Bandit, a lover of the great outdoors; Bindi, an adventurous mini Australian shepherd; and Sterling, a young cat who spends his free time zooming around the house.
