Stephanie

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Stephanie joined the Firgrove Veterinary Clinic team in June 2026 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. With more than 25 years in veterinary medicine, she brings vast knowledge, extensive hands-on experience, and a deeply rooted commitment to doing what’s best for each patient she sees.

Stephanie felt drawn to veterinary medicine from an early age, and her passion for animals remains strong today. She began working in the field in 2001 and earned her Veterinary Technician license in 2007. Since then, she has gained skills throughout her career in both general practice and specialty medicine.

Stephanie spent six years working in oncology, a role that was equally challenging and rewarding, as she gained valuable clinical knowledge. Along the way, she has also filled in across emergency medicine, critical care, neurology, internal medicine, surgery, and exotics. Each of these areas sharpened her skills and gave her new ways to support patients through every stage of care. Today, Stephanie's special interests include caring for neonates, reproductive medicine, and wound care. In all she does, she holds herself to a high standard of integrity and always strives to do what's right for the patient and client.

After all these years, Stephanie's enthusiasm for the work hasn't dimmed one bit. "I love that there's always something new to learn every day," she shared. Her favorite part of working at Firgrove is her co-workers, who mirror her dedication and love for animal care. Stephanie’s expertise and honesty make her a wonderful addition to our team.

Home Life

Stephanie’s passion for animals goes beyond her work at Firgrove. She is also a dedicated preservationist of living history through ethically bred purebred sighthounds. She shows her dogs in AKC Conformation and Lure Coursing and competes in amateur Straight and Oval Racing. Dock Diving is next on her list to learn! When she isn't at the track or in the show ring, she enjoys collecting tropical houseplants, gardening, naturalistic aquascaping, and building terrariums.

Her home is filled with her beloved animals. Her sighthounds include Diva, a Rhodesian Ridgeback; Mako, a Pharaoh Hound; Corvus, a Greyhound; and Mako’s daughter, a Pharaoh Hound puppy born June 30, 2026. Amidst this pack is Stella, a senior chihuahua and proud foster fail.

Stephanie also cares for her Russian Ratsnake named Asuna, whom she raised from a hatchling to a five-foot-long snake; a 150-gallon outdoor guppy pond; an 11-gallon naturally scaped nano aquarium; and a colony of Dendrobates auratus dart frogs.
